Gym Policy

 

Late to Class Policy

  • For the safety of the athlete and having adequate time to warm up, if you are more than 10 minutes late to class you will not be allowed to join
  • If you reserved and it took away a class credit, please speak with a coach about making up the class later that day or week

Class Reservation and Class Cap Policy

  • You are allowed to reserve up to 1-week in advance of a class. We strongly suggest you reserve classes to ensure a spot.
  • Please unreserve as soon as you know you can’t make it to a class. There is currently no penalty for no-showing, but if it becomes a consistent issue across classes we may put a rule in place.
  • The cap per class Monday through Friday is 15, but sometimes higher depending on the workout. The cap per class on Saturday is 20.
  • If your name is not on the TV attendance screen (i.e. you didn’t reserve and came in after the class capped), you are not guaranteed to do the workout as it’s written for that day.
  • The coach will do their best to find a modification you can do to the side for your workout.  E.g. if the workout is double under and barbell cleans, you can do bike and dumbbell cleans off to the side to save space.

Behavior Policy

  • Treat everyone with respect
  • Socialize with everyone, especially new members!  Everyone is just as nervous as you were starting CrossFit or meeting new people
  • Any bullying behavior will not be tolerated and the offending member will have membership revoked

Childcare Policy

  • Currently, childcare is only offered at the 9:30am classes.  Other classes will be added in the future as we refine the childcare system at these select classes.
  • If your child needs to be supervised by our trained childcare provider, you will need to sign up through PushPress for childcare the same way you would for a class.  You have to purchase childcare check-ins through our website.
  • There will be a max of 8 children per class that can be watched by our trained childcare provider
  • If your child is old enough to entertain themselves in the sitting area during these classes, they may at no charge.  However, if your child disrupts the class more than 2 times in a class, they must be put under the watch of our trained childcare provider and you will be charged for the check-in.
  • Kids in diapers will need to come in a clean diaper.  No diaper changes will be done.
  • Potty-trained kids will need to go to the bathroom prior to class.

Equipment Policy

  • DO NOT drop empty barbells
  • Do not drop barbells loaded with only single 2.5, 5, 10, or 15 lb plates on each side from anything higher than hip height
  • If you sweat or bleed on equipment, please use the spray bottles and towels to wipe the piece of equipment down
  • Please return your used equipment where it’s stored in the gym after you are done using it

Personal Training Room Policy

  • Only the coach and Personal Training client may workout in the Personal Training room at the scheduled time
  • No one else is allowed to reserve the room or workout in the room, even if there is no Personal Training appointment scheduled
  • Not even the coaches or owners are allowed to workout in this room
  • At select times, Personal Training Room will be used for childcare

 

Schedule Policy

  • All Members will be notified by email of any schedule changes in advance.
  • If a class day and time has less than 3 people attend on average during a month, CrossFit Goose Creek reserves the right to cancel the class day and time.  For example if the Thursday 5:30 AM class has 2 people on average for a month, only the Thursday 5:30 AM class would potentially be removed from the schedule while the other 5:30 AM classes during the week would remain.
  • If a class day and time is consistently hitting the current max capacity of 15 (Monday – Friday) or 25 (Saturday), CrossFit Goose Creek may add a class time immediately before or after the at capacity class.
  • Open Gym will follow the same minimum participation policy above for classes.
  • Personal Training Schedule availability is subject to change based on coaching staff.
